Leo is an AI-powered conversational feature, not a person, minister, or licensed professional. His name and conversational style are intended to make the experience approachable; they do not indicate human understanding, spiritual authority, or professional qualifications.

Leo is intended to support faith-related conversation, questions, and personal reflection. Responses are generated automatically and may contain factual errors, inaccurate quotations, incomplete interpretations, or invented details. They should not be assumed to have been reviewed or approved by L.R. Stahley.

Please verify important statements and Scripture references against reliable sources. Leo’s responses do not necessarily represent the views of L.R. Stahley, a particular church, or a Christian denomination.

2. Limits of AI Guidance

Leo’s responses are not professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or pastoral advice. They should not replace the judgement of a qualified professional or the support of a trusted pastor or faith community.

Do not use Leo’s responses as a reason to stop prescribed treatment, delay necessary care, or make consequential decisions without appropriate guidance. Conversations with Leo do not create a professional, pastoral, or privileged relationship.

Leo is not an emergency service, and conversations are not monitored as a crisis-response channel. If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for suicide and crisis support.

3. AI Conversations and Privacy

Messages you send to Leo and his responses are stored by the platform hosting this website. They are not publicly displayed and do not appear in the website’s ordinary administrative dashboard. However, the site owner can access them through the hosting provider’s dashboard.

Please do not treat these conversations as confidential from the site owner. Avoid entering passwords, payment information, identification numbers, or sensitive information about another person without their permission. Consider carefully how much personal information you wish to share when discussing faith, health, relationships, or other private matters.

The providers supporting Leo process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies. This disclosure does not guarantee that their practices exclude every form of service improvement or model training.

You may request deletion of your Leo conversation history through Account Settings or by contacting contact@lrstahley.com. Deletion may require processing through the hosting provider and is subject to the limitations described in our Privacy Policy. Submitting a request does not mean every stored or backup copy is immediately erased.

4. Scripture Sources and Accuracy

The automated daily Scripture feature and Leo’s Bible quotations use the World English Bible, Protestant Edition, a public-domain translation.

Public-domain status applies to the biblical text itself. It does not automatically extend to original commentary, artwork, or other protected material presented alongside it.

Because AI can misquote or misidentify a passage, please check Leo’s quotations against the translation before reproducing them or relying on their exact wording. AI-generated commentary should be understood as commentary, not Scripture.

Authored books, reflections, and other editorial materials may quote different Bible translations. The relevant translation and copyright acknowledgement appear with the work or in its accompanying notices. See Copyright & Permissions for further information.

5. First-Party Analytics and Browser Storage

We use first-party analytics to understand which pages readers visit and which content they find useful. Our page-view records include the page visited, referrer information, and an anonymous visitor identifier.

Although this identifier is not intended to identify you by name, it may distinguish one browser or visitor from another. “First-party” describes how the analytics operate; it does not mean that no information is collected or stored.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. The website may nevertheless use cookies or similar browser storage for functions such as sign-in, preferences, shopping features, and first-party analytics. Hosting and other service providers may also process technical information needed to operate and secure their services.

6. Merchandise Sales and Fulfilment

Merchandise offered through The Collection is sold by Stahley & Company, Columbus, Ohio. Printful, our production and fulfilment partner, makes items to order and ships them directly to customers.

Production takes place before shipping, so the total time to receive an order includes both production and transit. Items may be produced at different facilities or arrive in separate packages.

We receive revenue from merchandise sales. Printful’s role as our fulfilment partner does not make it the seller for purchases you place with Stahley & Company through this website.

Available destinations, shipping charges, and applicable taxes are presented at checkout. For international orders, import duties, customs fees, or other local charges are the recipient’s responsibility unless checkout expressly states that they are included, subject to applicable law.

7. Retailer Links and Author Royalties

Links to bookstores and other retailers are provided to help readers find and purchase books. These are not affiliate links, and we receive no referral payment when you click or use them.

L.R. Stahley may receive ordinary author royalties from sales of his books. Those royalties are separate from affiliate commissions or payment for directing visitors to a retailer.

Purchases made on an external retailer’s website are governed by that retailer’s terms, pricing, delivery arrangements, and return policies. We do not control those transactions or the retailer’s handling of your personal information.

8. Recommendations and Material Connections

A reference to a book, organisation, service, or resource should not be understood as a guarantee of its quality, accuracy, or suitability for your circumstances.

If we publish a paid promotion or a recommendation involving a material connection—such as compensation, a complimentary product, or another benefit that could affect how readers assess it—we will disclose that connection clearly with the relevant content.

Community members’ recommendations and reviews are their own. Our Community Guidelines require members to disclose material connections when recommending something and prohibit fabricated or misleading reviews.

9. Newsletter and Email Practices

Marketing newsletters are sent to people who have subscribed and according to the categories they selected, such as reflections, books, merchandise, or events. Creating an account, posting in The Commons, or making a purchase does not, by itself, subscribe you to marketing newsletters.

Unsubscribing takes effect immediately in our subscription records, although a message already in the delivery process may still arrive. We retain a limited suppression record so that we can honour your preferences.
